IWLGA FOURBALL 2019
Congratulations to Joanne Wright and Lorrie Hawkins of Shanklin & Sandown Golf club who were the winners of the Isle of Wight Ladies Fourball 2019 which was played on Friday 13th September at Freshwater Golf Club.
​The final of the Isle of Wight Ladies Golf Associaion Fourball Better Ball Championship was held at Freshwater Bay Golf Club onFriday 13th September 2019. The finalists were the Associations Captain, Sara Weech and her partner Cheryl Whitworth from Ryde GC and Joanne Wright and Lorrie Hawkins from Shanklin and Sandown GC. It was nip and tuck on the front nine with neither team able to pull away, but on the back nine the Sandown pair just edged ahead and made the winning putt on the 16th green to win 3 & 2.
​
Pat Long, the Freshwater Bay Ladies' Captain refereed the match and the Associations Vice-Captain, Judy Richardson presented the trophies.
